My Clone Wars Stories Episode 21: Final Showdown

Characters: Lux Bonteri, Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, Magnaguards, Commando Droids, Battle Droids, Aayla Secura, Clone Commander Bly, 327th Star Corps Troopers, Captain Rex, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Trandoshan Orch.

Narration:"After Lux Bonteri, brainwashed by the sinister Count Dooku, attempted to kill Ahsoka Tano, his brain was then fixed by the Jedi. Now, Ahsoka and Lux are heading away to lead a peaceful life, away from the war. But, back on Coruscant. Anakin Skywalker is worried about their safety".

Anakin Skywalker runs along the Jedi Temple and finds his way to the Control Room, where Jedi Masters Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi are waiting for him. Obi-Wan notices Anakin's worried face and says "Anakin, what's the matter?" and Anakin stutters "I-I-I had a vision. I- I couldn't make it out. B-But Ahsoka and Lux are in great danger, we need to go and protect them!" he blurts out,  and Obi-Wan replies "Anakin, relax. They are going to now live a happy life away from the war" and Anakin replies "B-But?" and Obi-Wan says "Anakin! You care too much for your apprentice. It is time, for you to let her go". Anakin gets up and leaves the control room, as he leaves, Obi-Wan and Yoda share a look between them. Anakin finds who he is looking for, Clone Captain Rex and says "Keep an eye out for news on anything that concerns Ahsoka" and Rex replies "Will do, General!" as Anakin walks off to meditate.

Meanwhile, on a distant planet. Lux Bonteri and Ahsoka Tano, disguised as refugees, walk along the countryside to find a place to stay for the night. Ahsoka says as she looks around "It's beautiful here" and Lux replies "Indeed. It's amazing how we can now fully appreciate wherever we go, now that no one is trying to kill us" and Ahsoka replies "Your not wrong on that!". Unaware to them. A Trandoshan who goes by the name of Orch is watching them, and has been watching their every move, contacts Dooku and says "They have fallen into the trap exactly as we planned" and Dooku replies "Very well. Now, we shall see if we take the bait of that house we set aside for them".

Late into the night, Lux spots a house, and pointing it out to Ahsoka says "Shall we rest there for the night?". Ahsoka thankfully agrees and follows Lux into the house. As they check out the house and locate the seperate bedrooms. Ahsoka says "We should get some rest. We've got a long day ahead of us tomorow". But as Ahsoka is about to go into her room, Lux grabs her by the wrist and says "I just wanted to ask you something! Will you marry me, in the future, when we are ready?". Ahsoka blushes and says "Yes! Of course! in a high-pitched strange voice that doesn't seem to belong to Ahsoka. They lean in and kiss each other lightly before each heading off to their respective beds.

Still unknown to them. Orch has followed them all the way to the house, which coincidentally, is the house that the bait was set for. Orch again contacts Dooku and says "I am prepared to take them out now, Count" and Dooku replies "Excellent. Remember, I want them both brought back to me, alive!" and Orch replies "Your order is my command boss" before cutting the transmission. Orch jumps out of the tree he was sitting in, and starts to walk around the side of the house. He walks up behind the house, underneath the room which is the bedroom Lux is sleeping in. Orch climbs the house and into the building. He sneaks up on Lux, who is on the bed, checks Lux really is asleep, before dropping an overdosed sleeping pill into his mouth and forcing Lux to swallow it. Orch then picks up Lux's body and heads into Ahsoka's room, intending to do the same to her. But Ahsoka senses this through the force and instantly wakes up. Orch says as he faces her "Pity you don't have your lightsaber, eh Jedi?" and Ahsoka retorts "I won't need my lightsaber for this!" and she tries to kick him a couple of times in the face. Orch simply dodges and takes out a pistol before holding it to Lux's head, and says "Surrender, or I shoot". Ahsoka knows she can't let Lux die, and as Orch hand-cuffs her, he yells triumphantly "HAH! And I had orders only to capture you, ya know?" and Ahsoka gasps, which is enough for Orch to ram another of those sleeping pills down Ahsoka's throat, and Ahsoka collapses as well. Orch picks up both Lux and Ahsoka, carries them out and heads off into the night.

On Coruscant. Anakin finds Captain Rex waiting for him and Anakin asks "What's going on Captain?" and Rex replies "Ahsoka and Lux have been captured, Sir!" and Anakin replies "I knew something like would happen. We all walked right into it!" and Rex urgently says "If we hurry, we can get a strike team and go and rescue her!". Anakin and Rex run along the Jedi Temple and find Aayla Secura, Bly and seven Star Corps Troopers there. Aayla asks "What are you looking all hot and bothered about, Skywalker?" and Anakin replies "My Padawan was lured into a trap! If we don't hurry, she will be killed!" and Aayla understanding how he feels, as she felt the same way once, says "We don't have a moment to lose!" and signals for the Clone's to board a lone Republic gunship. Anakin and Rex follow her onboard and the gunship speedily flies them away from Coruscant.

Ahsoka starts and wakes up when she feels some holding her arm, and calling her name "Ahsoka! Ahsoka!" before waking up to realize it's Lux. Ahsoka says "W-Where are we?" and Lux replies "A prison, look!" pointing at two Battle Droids, the lone guard, guarding them. Ahsoka reaches for her lightsaber, realizing she had given it away. Lux understands what Ahsoka is thinking and says "You could use the force, right?" and Ahsoka says "It would take care of these two, but we would need a lot more than that to escape". Lux says "We... we gotta try, don't we?" and Ahsoka nods before force pulling both Droids into each other, destroying them. Ahsoka and Lux head out into the cell block from their cell and head off. Ahsoka and Lux run down a few hallways, before they realize a trap has been set for them, and several electrical charges that would electrocute and kill them on the spot head towards them. Ahsoka turns to Lux and says "I guess, this is the end" and Lux replies "Yeah" and they move toward each other and start to snog vigorously. Almost as the charges are about to kill them, they are turned off, and a voice calls "I see you have accepted death, very well, you may follow me" and Count Dooku emerges, flanked by hundreds of Battle Droids. Ahsoka and Lux know they face a hopeless situation.

Lux and Ahsoka are tied standing up against the wall, with shackles put around their feet to stop them getting away. Dooku says, as he paces the room "Now in this present situation, I, can do whatever I like to you" and Ahsoka replies coldly "You don't know what you're talking about Dooku, Anakin will come for us". Dooku starts to say "He will never come for you-" but is interrupted by a Battle Droid, who screeches "Sir! A Republic ship has landed nearby". Dooku calmly says "We have less time than I thought" before ordering a Magnaguard to stab Lux with it's electro-staff, electrocuting Lux in the process. Dooku orders a Commando Droid to "Shoot him!" As Lux recovers from the electro-shock, he reaches out and holds Ahsoka's hand in his own, and says "This is how I want to die" and both Ahsoka and Lux's eyes well with tears. The Commando Droid fumbles with his gun at this point. Dooku grabs the gun and puts it back firmly in it's hands, before whispering "Come on Droid, don't be a prat! Do him!" and the Droid raises his gun and shoots Lux straight in the forehead, killing him instantly.

Ahsoka Tano's grief burst out of her. There was absolutely no way of stopping it. The tears coursed down her cheeks.Her whole body contorted, her eyes tight shut, and her body hanging limply, as if she was a broken soul. A Battle Droid comes up to Dooku and says "The Jedi are out in the hallway, Sir!" and Dooku replies "Delay them! I must be going, execute her now!" pointing at the limp form of Ahsoka. Dooku runs out of the room as a Battle Droid says "My first Jedi kill! How exciting!" but as he raises the gun, Anakin bursts into the room and quickly, with no other choice, throws his lightsaber at the droid, hitting it in the head, forcing the Droid to fire it's shot just over Ahsoka's head, sining her lekku in the process. Rex, Bly and the Star Corps Troopers come in, and a firefight ensues. Rex shoots a Magnaguard preparing to stab Ahsoka, Bly and a Clone take down several Battle Droids. Aayla Secura frees Ahsoka, and Aayla proceeds to defeat a couple of Magnaguards, Anakin recovers his lightsaber and destroys several Battle Droids and the Star Corps Troopers defeat the remaing Droids. With the battle over, Ahsoka almost collapses, but Anakin catches her and rests her gently against the wall, noting the dead body of Lux beside them, Anakin asks "What happened?" and Ahsoka replies through her tears "I can't say" and Anakin says "Ahsoka... more now than ever, we need you back on the Jedi, to help us win this terrible fight, please consider joining us again?". Ahsoka looks at what was suppoded to be her life, until it was cruely snatched away from her, and Ahsoka says "I will", before fainting. Anakin picks Ahsoka up and starts carrying her back to where the Republic Gunship waits as the story ends!
